RESILIENCE AND ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION

ERB in partnership with various partners such as CORDAID, FAO, the Government of Burundi projects funded by the World Bank is implementing projects for environmental protection, resilience and climate change. This program started in 2005. At the beginning, interventions were limited to the production and planting of forest and agro-forestry seedlings for reforestation and watershed management.

Since 2018, the projects of this programme have expanded to include climate resilience and reduction of the negative effects of climate change. Our interventions have focused in the provinces of Rutana, Cankuzo, Makamba. Bururi, Karuzi, Ngozi and Kayanza. Very recently, the provinces of Cibitoke and Bubanza are extending the list of provinces benefiting from our interventions.
